The Green Gables Readalong

Email Header

In 2015, I’m challenging myself (and all of you) to read OR reread the Green Gables collection. The plan will be to read one book to read each month starting in January and ending in August, which means that if you’re following along, we’ll be reading  the following books in the corresponding months:

  • January 2015 — Anne of Green Gables
  • February 2015 — Anne of Avonlea
  • March 2015 — Anne of the Island
  • April 2015 — Anne of Windy Poplars
  • May 2015 —  Anne’s House of Dreams
  • June 2015 — Anne of Ingleside
  • July 2015 — Rainbow Valley
  • August 2015 — Rilla of Ingleside

If you want to join me in my Green Gables Readalong, you can join the fun by commenting below and be sure to use the hashtag #GreenGablesReadalong on all your social media channels. I’ll be sure to monitor it and ensure that everyone is connecting with one another. We also have a Green Gable Readalong Twitter List so be sure to join the fun there too!

Okay, you motivated me and I already read the first book! I’ll prepare a blogpost this weekend. And thank you raidergirl3 for asking what I wanted to ask! 😃

I didn’t even know you were doing this, Lindsey – I just finished re-reading books 1-3 and 5 (I skimmed four). I’ll be following along and will try to get to books 6-8 when you do – I actually haven’t read book 7 ever!

Is it too late to jump in? I’ve read AoGG about a million times, but the rest of them only half a million times. I could start with Avonlea. Anne of the Island is possibly my favorite. Although it is hard to say. I read them all back in 2013, but stopped writing posts at Anne of Windy Poplars. A reread would give me a chance to update my existing posts – and finish the ones I missed!

Hi 🙂 what publisher do the editions on the picture above come from? I’ve looked around for them, but can’t find them. they are so incredibly pretty. Love your blog by the way!

I’m a little late, but so excited to take part and catch up! I tend to re-read my favourite Montgomery most years! My books are all in storage so I’ll be reading online – a new experience for me with Anne – I wonder how I’ll like it without the familiar hardcopies!
