Booking Through Thursday

Since I’ve been a little M.I.A this week, I thought I’d participate in the Thursday weekly meme called, “Booking Through Thursday“. Today’s question is:

Who would you rather borrow from? Your library? Or a Friend?

This question is easy for me to answer… the library. Not because my friends don’t have a great book selection, but because the library has a huge amount of selection and I love the whole environment of libraries. I enjoy the smell of books and I like to sneak peaks to see what others are reading.

I live in Toronto, so that means I’m lucky to be able to have a selection of books from the whole GTA. The system that the TPL has set up makes it easy to log into your account and request to have the book deliver to your closest branch. This feature alone is why I enjoy borrowing books from the library. It’s a great system and they are very speedy in getting my books to me.

On top of all that, it’s free. How could you go wrong by getting to sign out as many books as you can possibly read in 3 weeks and it cost you $0.00! The due date is helpful to me, because it gives me a deadline on how long I have to read the books and gives me a deadline for when I have to return them. It’s sad to say, but I’ve borrowed books from people and haven’t returned them awhile… I’m probably pushing on 2 months, but I promise I’ll return your book soon @SarahLabrie

So what about you guys….. Do you hit up your friends or your local library for books?

I’m so happy to hear your library has a great selection of books! While I borrow a lot of audiobooks for free downloads from my library, their actual book selection is pretty messy so I’d have to answer my friends for this one.
